Long overdue update!

So, I've been busy with college and my job. My blog is being neglected.

Since the last update in September, the boys have gone to the eye doctor and Matthew went to the ENT. Jon started preschool, I had swine flu and an asthma attack. Chris has been making leaps and bounds with his development!

One thing at a time....eye doctor appoitments. Matthew and Jonathan were fine! All is well with them. Chris still has his abnormal eye cup pallor. His eye nerves are larger than what they should be. We were told by an eye doctor at CHOP that this was a direct result of him being a premature baby. The doctor we usually see believes that not to be the case. She said, given the brain scan that was done, she feels that while he was developing in utero, that something altered his brain and eye development. The MRI scans show that some abnormal areas of the delayed mylenation are near where these abnormal eye nerve areas are and this is why she would believe this to be the case. When he is able to sit still for a longer period of time, she wants to do something called eye mapping. This is where they take a picture at the back of your eye.

Matthew's ENT appoitment was because he failed his hearing test that was given at the doctor's office. He had another one done at the ENT's office after they removed lots of wax from his ears; he passed!

Halloween was wet! They boys had a blast, though!

Jon started preschool last week! He is having a great time in school, for the most part (he doesn't like parting with his toys!). He has a lot of friends and had one already in the class before he started.

Chris has made leaps and bounds in his development! He's talking more, using more words and phrases! He is most vocal when we aren't asking him to be. He's adding "Dora, Diego, popcorn, chip, cow, pig, Matt, Jon, Josh" just to name a few! Lately, when Matthew gets off of the bus he yells "HI MATT!" and runs after him for a hug!
